About Me

Before becoming a psychologist, I worked as a teacher. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for how much emotional, social, and developmental factors shape people’s lives, especially during formative years. It also strengthened my commitment to creating spaces where individuals feel safe, understood, and not rushed to have everything figured out.

Transitioning into psychology allowed me to combine clinical training with a grounded, compassionate understanding of people’s lived experiences. I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, perfectionism, depression, and periods of uncertainty or change. My focus is on helping you build insight, emotional resilience, and practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable growth.

I take a holistic view of mental health, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by thoughts, body responses, relationships, routines, and environment. In our work together, we may explore how stress shows up in the body, how daily patterns impact mood, and how small, realistic shifts can support greater balance and stability over time.

My Approach

My Approach

Mental health support is never one-size-fits-all. I take a person-centered, collaborative approach, tailoring therapy to each persons unique goals, strengths, and lived experiences. This helps our work feel focused, practical, and relevant to real-life challenges.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and somatic-informed practices. These are practical tools that support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and navigating stress, relationships, and life transitions with greater confidence.

Therapy may also include gentle attention to lifestyle factors such as sleep, movement, daily routines, and stress patterns, as these often play an important role in emotional well-being. By integrating psychological insight with mind-body awareness and practical strategies, therapy supports meaningful and sustainable change. Above all, I aim to offer a calm, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and equipped with tools you can carry forward beyond our work together.

Hobbies & Interests

Outside of my clinical work, I find grounding in nature, creativity, and simple daily rituals. The mountains feel like a second home, and I enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, paddleboarding, skiing, and snowshoeing depending on the season.

Creativity has always been an important part of my life. I play guitar and sing, explore other instruments, and enjoy sketching and working with charcoal. Occasionally, I’ll experiment with painting as a way of reconnecting with curiosity and play, something I also value deeply in my work with clients.

At home, I share life with my dog, June, who brings a lot of joy and grounding energy into my days. I also enjoy quiet routines like caring for plants, reading, and making a good cup of chai tea. These small, intentional moments help me stay present and balanced, both personally and professionally.
