About Me

Welcome ~ I’m Amanda Skwarok, a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). In accordance with CAP’s Standards of Practice and Standards for Supervision, I provide services under the supervision of Stephanie David, Registered Psychologist, who oversees my clinical work.

I work in two locations, Edmonton and Sherwood Park, alongside Teens, Young Adults, Adult Women, and Parents who are navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, identity, and life transitions, often while still appearing capable and high-functioning on the outside.

Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves and are looking for clarity, confidence, and steadiness as they move forward. This includes supporting  LGBTQ2S+ clients at all stages of identity development, offering a safe, affirming space to explore fears, changes, HRT, and family, social, or public challenges.

My approach blends warmth, collaboration, and evidence-based therapy, alongside mind-body and lifestyle-informed practices. Therapy with me goes beyond talk alone and may include practical tools for emotional regulation, nervous system awareness, and exploration of routines such as sleep, movement, and daily habits, always tailored to the individual.

My work takes many forms, including individual therapy, parent support, speaking engagements, and program development aimed at fostering resilience and connection. Regardless of the setting, my intention remains the same: to provide a calm, supportive space where people feel seen, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps forward.

My Approach

Mental health is more than symptoms, it’s your story, your context, your body, and your strengths.

That’s why my work is holistic and person-centered: we consider mind, body, and environment together.

With evidence-based therapies (not quick fixes or trends), I strive to provide a safe, validating space

where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
